Each year, March 22 marks #WorldWaterDay, a day dedicated globally to acknowledge the importance of water. Here at Central Solutions, we would like to celebrate World Water Day by recognizing the collaborative efforts the EPA Large Water Users Community of Practice (CoP) is taking in addressing water stewardship needs and challenges, both nationally and internationally.

The EPA Large Water Users CoP provides a platform for global organisations and leaders to exchange new ideas and foster new thinking around the most pressing water-related challenges of today. Over the last number of years, our team has worked with EPA CoP members to adopt better water stewardship practices and achieve water stewardship leadership.

The video below showcases our recent work with EPA CoP member ABP Food Group. Through the development and implementation of a series of innovative water management tools and practices, we assisted ABP Food Group in becoming the first food processor in the world to achieve Gold status multi-site certification under the EWS standard.

Our team’s collaboration has most recently been recognised at the Green Awards event where we were awarded the 2018 Sustainable Water Achievement Award in Ireland.
Now in its tenth year, the Green Awards 2018 gala ceremony celebrated the achievements of environmentally minded businesses and organisations in Ireland.

World Water Day is the perfect occasion to highlight the collective action and progress achieved by EPA CoP members. By sharing what is learnt, we can all move forward faster and achieve improved water stewardship practices together.
