Lean & Green Skillnet

In Ireland we operate a number of National Support Programmes including the Lean & Green Skillnet. The National Lean and Green Skillnet was set up to address the growing need for up-skilling and professional development of personnel employed in the areas of environmental, water and energy management.

The training network builds on the work of the EPA funded Lean water Community of Practice and is the leading skills and training network for lean utilities management in the country, assisting both national and multinational firms compete through excellence in sustainable water and energy management.

The network has identified a range of training needs and now offers training in a variety of topics such as:

  • Lean Utilities
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Water Stewardship
  • HVAC Operations Optimisation
  • Mapping Water at Industrial Facilities
  • Open Access Gateways for Energy and Water Monitoring
  • Financing Water Projects

Eligible companies can participate in courses at a subsidised rate by the Department of Education & Skills and Skillnets Ltd.
